With all this growth happening in the High Desert, I see that the British are now thinking about several places to add new Market’s. Our first Fresh and Easy Neighborhood Market a division of British retail giant Tesco, has announced that their market will open in Spring 2008 in Hesperia.
The new grocery store will be at Main street and Topaz Avenue, and will be a smaller store than the city’s current grocery store’s, occupying a modest 13,900 square feet. Fresh and Easy will be more like Trader Joe’s.
Tesco, the fourth largest retailer has plans to open more than 100 supermarkets in Southern California over the next 12 months. They will be adding one in Apple Valley and another one in Victorville, at El Evado and Palmdale road.
This New Market, Fresh and Easy will be focusing on fresh foods and pre-prepared meals. For more information about living in the Hesperia area, visit my site!

Who does not believe that animals can be man’s best friend? Teaching our children about giving can some times start with a mere exercise about caring. Apple Valley School District has some requirement’s per school year. Our children are required to donate 20 hours of community service per year.
Although the school is not responsible for organizing community events, an idea was presented to the Principal to incorporate humane education with community service.
The school placed a box outside of it’s main office for students to drop animal supplies. This was to be a one week exercise. But with the out cry of donations they extended it for two weeks. Students from first to eighth grade went to the shelter to personally hand over the toys and play with the animals.
The school welcomed the opportunity to teach the children responsibility and caring. They will learn as young children that we must be loving to others and this will be a following into their adulthood.
With this great response the principle plans on continuing and organizing animal shelter projects. She noted that she would like to do a winter blanket drive.
This gives us something to think about. Possibly all of us should make an effort to donate some of our time to the less fortunate at 20 hours per year.

Association fees in the community of Spring Valley are going up again. From Last years’ increase to $640.00 a year to another hike of $768.00 dollars a year. Some people are not happy about this rate increase. Let’s consider some of the other communities in the High Desert, that include Silver Lakes in the city of Helendale, they are paying $1560 per year and this includes playing all the golf your want. Solera at Apple Valley, a Senior Housing community developed by Pultte homes is charging $1644.00 dollars a year.
Golf at Jess Ranch is modest but not included in this fee.
Although some of us say this is not as bad as some of the communities in other Counties it is still a difficult adjustment to make for a one year change and a lot of people just cannot afford an extra bill in this tight economy

In today’s market and the downside to high cost housing, many buyers are looking for alternatives to obtain a home. Creative financing in a mortgage includes a variety of options, such as assuming a mortgage, buying a home with no money down, seller financing, and a lease -option. These option can make financing a home quick and easy.
To Assume a loan you need to find a home with an assumable mortgage(that may be hard). may call for an in depth search. Once this has been done you should have a professional assist you with the process. The buyer should check the papers and review the loan papers. the next step is contact the lender and request an assumable loan package. You will need to meet certain criteria..
Assuming a loan is more attractive when a buyer has a substaintial amount of cash. The buyer will have to offer the seller the difference between the loan amount and the settling amount.
Lease-option
This is a contactual agreement between the seller and buyer. This allows the buyer to rent the property as they clean up their credit and save for a down payment. The buyer locks into a future purchase price and agrees to buy the property within a reasonable time period. Contact should have a Future Price, A maximum Length in the Agreement and a Monthly Rental Price. Some seller add a clause to protect them requiring the buyer to pay a penalty fee if the decide at the term of the contract not to purchase the property. In addition a percent of the rent will be applied to the option.

In my line of work, I have to know everything that goes on in my area. Being a real estate agent means I have to know all about the different neighborhoods, schools, and recreational activities to share with potential clients. With this blog, I intend to share some good – to – know information about what’s going on in the Victorville area and its surrounding communities. Breaking ground on a new blog is not always easy, so if you have any suggestions for topics, just drop me a line in the comments below!
